So you believe
He existed
For you
For you
For Me
No no

You believe in the son of God,
Then it follows you believe
In God!

And if you believe in God
Answer me this.

Why would he give to man ambition,
And the knowledge of the gun?
Turn off a soldiers Lights
And let anothers run?
Why bring to man a big disease,
And a love that can divide?
Why for every hand that overflows,
There’s always one denied?
And you still believe,
You still believe!!!

A personal painting by Pat Yallup

I was told Jesus existed
Well, how could this be proved!
For Me!
I was told Jesus was Love
For Me!
I stood in front of a white sheet,
And asked Jesus to show himself,
This he did!
For Me!
When the paper was covered
The picture had a story,
For Me!
It said with one eye gauged
“I know everything about you
You have sinned and I have suffered.
You know your sins
And I forgive you”
And he did!
For Me!
Painting in a meditative state
Jesus came
To Me
For Me!
For Me!

Bewilderment
Can you read my face?
Friend or foe?
Do my eyes betray me?
Or am I just a windowless soul?

Am I worthy of your pity or ridicule?
Are you worthy of mine?
For there is a difference between looking and seeing
Between and hearing and listening
I am that difference
I can’t explain it
I just am

I am not for understanding nor explaining
I’m just me
I’m just me

So let me live among your confusion
Within your curiosity
For that’s where I am comfortable

A little piece of me

A little piece of me
Nestled safe beneath angels wings,
it must be beautiful to fly.
To paint what colours you should choose,
upon the canvas of the sky,
To gather stars and moonbeams.
To travel at your chosen speed.
It must be such a beautiful place,
for a little piece of me.
Are you trying to catch a rainbow,
Are you reeling off your rhymes.
Are you playing tiptoe through the clouds
or dancing through the night,
Have you wrapped your arms around the sun,
is that your laughter on the breeze?
Oh it must be such a beautiful place
for a little piece of me.

One summers evening I sat in my sons bedroom watching him sleeping.
I remember thinking how beautiful innocence is.
No violence, no greed, no fear but for how long?
This poem is dedicated to that moment that I’ll cherish forever.

Meet me my love beneath evenings golden veil.
Where painters clothe their canvas
And the forest angels sail.
Meet me where the great oaks bow
And silence plays our tune.
Meet me my love
Out `neath poet’s moon.

Meet me with the open arms
Of one who feels the same.
Meet me out where autumns forged
A kaleidoscope of shades.
Meet me where the stars are cast
Like lights around a room.
Meet me my love
Out `neath poet’s moon.

Meet me my love
Down where the river flows.
Meet me with an open soul
And the eyes of one who knows.
Meet me where the forest winds
Sleep for me and you.
Meet me my love
Out `neath poet’s moon.
